We want YOU !! For Team Happy Hour !!
Hello again faithful listeners !!!!,
After much discussion, Doug, Matthew, and, myself have pondered the idea of adding a few good people to our team. It's not that we're running out of steam or anything like that. We're going for, as The Joker in The Dark Knight says, "A little aggressive expansion". We're looking for people who are funny, can write funny stuff, are reliable, and can add ideas to our skits, or the show in general. We will review the entries and pick who we feel is the best. We're looking for at least TWO people for this position. We are also looking for a FEMALE CORRESPONDENT. A spunky, lively, funny, and, charismatic female who can hang with the boys and can show the female perspective on things and not get highly offended or is not politically correct. If you are serious about doing this, awesome ! But we do have a few requirements :
1) You MUST have Skype ! This show is practically run on this program and is also used if you can't physically be here at our base of operations. If you don't know what Skype is, it's a program that enables you to call each other through your computers. It's a FREE program. You must also have a mic and a headset or one of the combination headset mics which you can purchase at Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, or, a computer store. Unless you plan on coming down to our little homebase, yeah, you're going to need this.
2) You must be RELIABLE ! This is important ! We record the shows on Sundays. We understand if you can't always be around or present the days we record. So plan on having a day during the week where we can record your stuff. It doesn't take long to do skits or sketches so it would only be a couple of hours maximum.
3) THIS IS NOT A PAYING JOB !! .This thing was built from the ground up to have fun and provide a free show. No money coming in or out. We don't mind not getting paid for it, and neither should you. We're happy to just be a part of an awesome website that boasts 20 million listeners a month and that people hear us and so should you !
4) No racism or really offensive material ! Although we engage in a lot politically incorrect statements and blatant toilet humor. We do not want any racist material on the show. We like to offend, but we do have a line we won't cross. And no political shit either ! We keep politics out of the show at all costs.
5) GIVE IDEAS ! Write stuff ! Contribute to others ideas ! This is a team effort ! Feel free to add or give suggestions to our material as well !
6 ) If you are highly offended, and politically correct, then this won't be for you. We poke fun at pop culture and engage in un-PC talk and toilet humor !

Ay Yi Yi !
Hello, listeners !!
Note to self, make sure you get PLENTY of sleep before you do a 2 1/2 hour show !
So I put this feature in my cell phone a while back which sends me weather alerts via text messages on my cell phone. Figured it would come in handy in case I'm not home or camping or whatnot. Well anyways, we had some pretty wicked weather overnight Saturday into Sunday morning. Damn thing kept me awake all night with severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado watches/warnings all night. Uughh. Tornado warnings I do take seriously because last year I was eating supper and wondering why it was sunny yet pouring down rain. Here, an EF-1 tornado was a couple of miles from my house and I didn't even know it until I saw it in the paper. It's not like it would matter anyways because I live in an upstairs apartment complex. So yeah, I'm hosed pretty much if that happens. Long story short I was tired and cranky during the show yesterday. I think I almost dozed off at a couple of points due to lack of sleep. But the show must go on, gotta bleed for the sake of art. So you bastards better appreciate it !!! Next time that happens I'm turning the damn thing off. Worse thing that could happen is I could end up in OZ or wrapped around someone's tree. Hahaha
Show stuff is doing well. I think we're improving each show . Thanks a billion to Ian from The Primer Greys for designing the logo for us. You guys just fucking rule !! June 20th shall be an interesting show. I'm gonna call it female appreciation day on Happy Hour. We'll have a special female guest co-host here in the studio with us. Playboy Model /Actress Angelina Leigh is going to grace us with her presence as well and plug her latest projects. Looks like it's gonna be a battle of wits and of the sexes as well ! Angelina was going to be on this Sunday's show (June 14th) but unfortunately had to cancel. No worries, shit happens sometimes that we're not prepared for. It's all good !!
It sucks that there's no good summer flicks to go to this year. I'm kinda "meh" on A-Team and Predators sounds somewhat interesting. Iron Man 2 kicked ass though. Scarlett Johannson...mmmmmmm... : )

We feel like we're hitting our stride now. A few shows in and we're more entertaining than ever! We're fine-tuning our bits and our board ops. Maybe we'll even have that 99% perfect show. Probably not. Our team (Todd Servo, Me (Doug Moore), and our "girlfriend" Saint Matthew from Raw Footage Films, are adjusting to the broader audience quite nicely. We may even be getting funnier. Our insults are getting meaner, so stay tuned to see if someone will finally storm out and quit.
At the expense of the cleanliness of Todd's carpet, we press on each week to bring you celebrity deaths and other crap that gets spoon-fed to you each day. Todd's carpet is a champ. Set on fire several times and a survivor of countless spills : Todd's Indestructible Carpet.
Oh, and we're gonna try to play more music. And I'm gonna try to control my F bombs. We're gonna out a swear jar and at the end of the month we're gonna take the proceeds and go on a shopping spree at Shop Radio Cast. You should too. They are awesome!

This page is gonna be home base (for now) to keep you all informed of all the latest news and other shit with our show, Happy Hour With Todd And Doug. We have have a Facebook page, so don't be a loser, add it !! We have an e-mail address where you can shoot us comments, suggestions, death threats, and, other random nonsense at thehappyhourradioshow@gmail.com. We may make you feel special or a total asshole and read your ramblings on the air ! Try us !
Our debut show on Punk Radio Cast aired this past Sunday ! Hope some of you guys checked it out. We know it was Memorial Day weekend and you may have had better shit to do like roast weenies on a fire or look at hot babes in bikinis. Ahh summer, the weather is warmer and the girls start wearing less...mmmm..ok ok we air EVERY SUNDAY at 2 -4:30 pm EST. We play music, we make fun of people, places, and, things including each other. St Matthew also unveiled the new name of his film company, RAW FOOTAGE FILMS. I must say the name kicks total ass ! Matthew's a great film maker and works really hard at what he does. Doug and I have been involved in a few of past flicks in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Working on his films is always a blast ! Be on the look out for that !
Rockabilly band, The Primer Greys from Clearfield, PA also stopped by the studio (my apt) and shot the shit with us and stuff. Eric, Ed, and, Ian are super guys and great musicians ! Ed and I go way way back, He used to play for the local band 969 and Rusty Gun Revival from 2004-2007. My old band and his band used to play shows together all the time and we always had a blast !! Do check those guys out on Facebook or MySpace www.myspace.com/primergreys . Take my word for it, you WON'T be dissappointed ! Can't wait to see the boys in a live setting. It's nice when a new band gets me excited !
Stephen Egerton, guitarist from the legendary bands ALL and The Descendents, has a new solo LP out, The Seven Degrees Of Stephen Egerton. He plays all the instruments and get's folks that's either worked with him or he's friends with to sing vocals on them. The last couple albums like this I bought, Tony Iommi's album "Iommi" from 2000 and Dave Grohl's (of Nirvana and Foo Fighter's fame) Probot project, had the right intentions but kinda fell short of the mark. Some songs were really good but a lot of the performances from the singers kinda felt "phoned in" Not so on here. Every vocalist on here put's their heart into the songs. Scott Reynolds and Chad Price from ALL are featured as is Milo Aukerman from the Descendents. Other vocalists include Chris Demakes of Less Than Jake, Joey Cape from Lagwagon, Mike Herrera of MxPx, and tons more. Even if you're not into a singers main band, they pull it off very well on this album. Mr. Egerton did a remarkable job selecting the vocalists for this. And he's an amazing multi-instrumentalist as well and it really shows on here. This album was voted Happy Hour's Album Of The Month for May. If you like ALL and the Descendents, there is absolutely NO reason for you not to own this. This is definitely your soundtrack for summer 2010. This album is available on iTunes and at Paper & Plastick! OR you can support PRC and pick it up at Shop Radio Cast!
